Dezaray and Tyler are both competitive curlers, and on December 28, 2025, they said I do at Mainspace in Canmore, with fresh snow on the mountains all around. In the months that followed, Tyler won Olympic gold with Team Canada at Milano Cortina 2026, and Dezaray brought home bronze at the 2026 Scotties. We were honoured to capture their wedding.


Getting Ready

"I love details," Dezaray told us before the wedding, "and I've tried to add small details in our decor to make it very us." The morning started with them: deep red roses, black heels, her jewellery and their custom rings, all laid out on dark wood.

With hair and makeup by Something Borrowed Beauty and one last touch to her earrings, she stepped into the window light in her one-of-a-kind black and ivory lace gown by Sophia Tolli, a bouquet of red roses and soft white blooms in hand.

Meanwhile, Tyler took a quiet moment of his own before heading to the ceremony.


Ceremony at Mainspace

At 1pm, Dezaray and Tyler met under a rose and greenery arch inside Mainspace, with the venue's glowing ring lights overhead and tall windows looking out on the snow. Jackie of Windflower Ceremonies led the ceremony.

One look at Dezaray's smile said everything, and then came their first kiss as husband and wife, right there under the arch.


Winter Portraits in the Mountains

"Winter wedding has always been my dream," Dezaray told us. "I really want to capture the snow and the mountains." So after the ceremony, we took them out into it.

Big sky, deep snow and the Canmore peaks behind them, with her black lace train trailing across the white. A Canmore winter wedding doesn't get much more magical than this.

We love this venue, and the reception showed exactly why. Mainspace was dressed dark and moody: a long black table set with gold chargers, tall black taper candles and red roses, a huge red rose heart, and floor-to-ceiling windows looking out on the snowy rooftops of the Solara Resort. Sweets came from Avi's Kitchen right here in Canmore.

Their first dance happened under the ring lights, and it ended with Tyler down on one knee and Dezaray laughing in his arms.

A Winter Dream in Canmore

Some weddings feel like they were written for the season. Fresh snow on the peaks, candlelight on black lace, red roses everywhere you looked, and two people who couldn't stop smiling at each other.
